The short answer: About 3 hours.
The long answer: It varies from page to page, and is influenced by Facebook’s algorithm as well as how many other posts your viewer has in their feed at the time.
But all that aside, if you use 3 as the magic number you should be pretty safe. The theory being that if you post updates on Facebook more often that every 3 hours, you risk bumping your own older posts out of people’s feeds. If you have posted within the last 3 hours or so – leave some breathing space before adding another one.
Some other Facebook tips:
- Keep your updates short
- Display the full link address if you’re including links
- Use the right words
- Ask questions
