The world of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is always changing. Sometimes your rankings change because competitor sites get updated. After all, your rankings are relative to other websites. They are not an absolute score.
Sometimes it’s because Google Changes their algorithm (which happens reasonably regularly). This month alone, Google made 40 changes!
This recent series of updates, dubbed Panda 3.3, includes:
- Changes to the way they treat Local Search rankings, and
- The deletion of an unnamed link evaluation signal
These two alone may have a decent impact on your rankings. Time will tell!
As always, it pays to keep an eye on your rankings for important keywords. If you don’t measure it, you can’t improve it.
